Second General Assembly of Beneficiaries

The DaWetRest project successfully concluded its three-day General Assembly of Beneficiaries on December 13, where partners shared their progress and future milestones.

Kicking off with an exploration of the EU Mission structure, led by the Project Officer Daniele DE BERNARDI from CINEA, the assembly facilitated open discussions among partners on various aspects, including project development and management.

An important part of the General Assembly was the interaction between representatives from related projects under the #EUMissions “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030” that participated in the meeting. Mihai Cristian Adamesco from the University of Bucharest shared insights into the synergies with the Restore4Life project, Dragos Balaican from DDNI represented the EcoDaLLi Project and Allison O’Reilly, project manager from Danube4All presented the work that has been done in Danube4All. Additionally, the active participation of DaWetRest, Danube4All, EcoDaLLi, and Restore4Life showcases the commitment between the projects to cooperate with the collective mission of restoring our oceans and waters by 2030.

During the meeting, we discussed the progress of DaWetRest’s demonstrator sites, with Hrvoje Mikulčić, from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB – Fakultet strojarstva i brodogradnje), Dragos Balaican from DDNI, and Asen Asenov from the University of Ruse (Русенски Университет), presenting updates for the Middle Danube, Danube Delta, and Lower Danube demonstrators, respectively. Boian Koulov from Climate, Atmosphere and Water Research Institute (CAWRI-BAS) opened the following session to discuss future tasks, presenting milestones for the work packages to all partners. Work package leaders, Maria Durão from INOVA+ and Clara Duffner from Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, presented the advancements in WP 2 and WP 7.

Despite the importance that all these partners and the associated entities have for the success of the project, its important to highlight most important aspect of these project – Cooperation. Not only the General Assembly showed the effort between partners to cooperate for the success of the projects, but also the opportunity to have with us representatives from other related projects for sharing best practices.

The DaWetRest, Danube4all, EcoDalli, and Restore4Life are leading projects of the Danube Lighthouse, dedicated to the #EUMissions initiative “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.”

The DaWetRest project focus on collaborative efforts to address environmental challenges, and the project partners involved conduct an assembly every 6 months to discuss the advancements of each workpackages and the future milestones. The cooperation between these projects, Danube4all, EcoDalli, Restore4Life and DaWetRest creates a united front in the pursuit of sustainable environmental solutions.
