UZ-FSB – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (UNIZAG FSB/FAMENA) is the oldest and the most prominent faculty in the field of mechanical engineering in Croatia, with an almost century-old tradition. FSB has been one of the leading Croatian institutions in education, science and expertise in mechanical engineering and naval architecture, and for the last two decades, in the field of aeronautical and mechatronic engineering. DaWetRest project expands FSB’s expertise into the critical area of environmental protection in response to climate change. Our primary motivation for participating in this project is to understand the wide-ranging socio-economic impacts of climate change policies. Furthermore, the DaWetRest project embodies an impressive interdisciplinary approach, offering a holistic perspective on wetland conservation and preserving biodiversity. In addition to the invaluable digital portal that will serve as a lasting legacy of the project, it will contribute substantially to developing an action plan for wetland conservation, which will serve as a foundational reference point for all future projects in this field. As part of the DaWetRest team, we pave the way for a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
