Danube Delta – Stakeholder’s meeting for Restoration Initiatives

Within the project DaWetRest, between March 11 and 12, 2024, took place in Tulcea – Romania a meeting of partners from Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and local and regional stakeholders (authorities and entities of the private sector).

The activities and benefits within the EcoDALLi projects (coordination and support project – CSA), DaWetRest and Danube4all (innovation action projects – IA) were presented to the stakeholders, as well as synergies between the IA projects. The Keynote Speaker was Mrs. Magdalena Andreea, Head of Unit DG MARE, European Commission.

During the workshop, the partners mapped the problems and needs of local and regional stakeholders. The participants visited the impact areas in the Danube Delta with the help of the DEMO partners.

The aim of the workshop was to connect the DaWetRest project partners with existing structures, stakeholders and networks in the Danube basin and to harmonize the project platform with local legislation and EU strategies and objectives. This objective promotes good practices and innovative solutions from the DaWetRest project in other parts and wetlands of the EU, direct knowledge transfer and networking between project partners and stakeholders.
